The St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans held off the host Cissna Park Timberwolves volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Spartans now have a 14-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rantoul for a Illini Prairie test on Thursday, September 29. St. Joseph-Ogden will confront a Eagles team coming off a 2-1 league win over Pontiac (Pontiac, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 7-7.
The Timberwolves (20-3) will now prepare for their test against Hoopeston (Hoopeston, IL). The Cornjerkers enter the Vermilion Valley test with a 12-6 record. In their last test, Hoopeston held off Schlarman (Danville, IL), 2-0, in a league test.
