With the win, Kankakee upgrades its record to 11-7 on the year. The Kays travel to Grace Christian Academy (Kankakee, IL) to play the Crusaders in a non-league bout on Monday, October 3. The Crusaders go into the bout with a record of 7-6. Grace Christian Academy won 2-1 in their recent league bout against Illinois Lutheran (Crete, IL)

The Panthers now own a 7-17 record. They play next when they host Clifton Central for a River Valley bout on Thursday, September 29. Gardner-South Wilmington will play a Comets squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Herscher (Herscher, IL). The Comets record now stands at 7-13.
