In Thursday's non-league game, the Mohawk Mustangs (Marcola, OR) football team knocked off the visiting McKenzie Eagles (Finn Rock, OR), by a final score of 26-14.
The Mustangs (1-3) will now prepare for their game against Lost River (Merrill, OR). The Raiders come into the 1A Special District 1 (8 Man) game with a 5-0 record. In their last game, Lost River toppled Myrtle Point (Myrtle Point, OR), 48-28, in a league challenge.
The Eagles now sport a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they host Mapleton for a 1A Special District 2 - North (6 Man) challenge on Friday, September 29.
