Georgia High School Football - Rutland can't get by Southwest

September 28, 2023: Macon, GA 31206

The Southwest Patriots held off the visiting Rutland Hurricanes football team by a count of 39-35 in Thursday's league outing.

With the win, Southwest upgrades its record to 3-3 on the season. The Patriots travel to Spencer (Columbus, GA) to confront the Greenwave in a AA Region 2 outing on Thursday, October 5. The Greenwave go into the outing with a record of 4-2. Spencer won 61-14 in their recent league outing against Jordan (Columbus, GA)

With the loss, Rutland moves to 2-4 on the season. The Hurricanes host Jordan (Columbus, GA) to confront the Red Jackets in a AA Region 2 outing on Friday, October 6. The Red Jackets go into the outing with a record of 0-6. Jordan lost 61-14 in their recent league outing against Spencer (Columbus, GA)
