The Emerald Vikings football team (Greenwood, SC), was beaten 34-7 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the host Eastside Eagles (Taylors, SC)
The Eagles (4-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Greer (Greer, SC). The Yellow Jackets come into the non-league challenge with a 5-1 record. In their last challenge, Greer was beaten by Laurens (Laurens, SC), 21-20, in a non-league challenge.
The Vikings now sport a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Woodruff for a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 5. Emerald will meet a Wolverines team coming off a 16-10 non-league loss to Chester (Chester, SC). The Wolverines record now stands at 2-5.
