North Carolina High School Football - Northeastern nips Hertford County

In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Northeastern Eagles football squad scored a close 20-18 victory over the Hertford County Bears.

In their next game, the Eagles clash with the Tarboro Vikings (Tarboro, NC) in a non-league match, on Thursday, October 5. Northeastern will attempt to move on its 5-0 season record. The Vikings enter the match with a 4-1 record after their 27-0 non-league win over Southeast Halifax (Halifax, NC).

With the loss, Hertford County drops to 1-3 on the campaign. The Bears travel to First Flight (Kill Devil Hills, NC) to confront the Nighthawks in a non-league test on Thursday, October 5. The Nighthawks come into the test with a record of 0-2. First Flight lost 36-6 in their recent non-league test against Northeastern (Elizabeth City, NC)
