Virginia High School Football - Lakeland topples Southampton

The Lakeland Cavaliers (Suffolk, VA) football defeated the host Southampton Indians (Courtland, VA), 21-12 in Thursday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Cavaliers face the Great Bridge Wildcats (Chesapeake, VA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, October 5. Lakeland will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record. The Wildcats enter the bout with a 1-3 record after their 15-8 non-league loss to Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA).
