The Floyd Central Highlanders held off the visiting Charlestown Pirates soccer squad by a margin of 1-0 in Thursday's non-league match.
The Highlanders now sport a 7-2 record. They play next when they travel to Bedford North Lawrence for a Hoosier Hills match on Saturday, September 30. Floyd Central will encounter a Stars squad coming off a 6-1 league loss to Seymour (Seymour, IN). The Stars record now stands at 6-7.
With the loss, Charlestown drops to 9-3 on the season. The Pirates travel to Salem (Salem, IN) to encounter the Lions in a non-league match on Tuesday, October 3. The Lions come into the match with a record of 5-6. Salem won 8-0 in their recent non-league match against Lanesville (Lanesville, IN)
