Fruitport Trojans (Fruitport, MI) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Montague Wildcats (Montague, MI), 8-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Trojans face the Hamilton Hawkeyes (Hamilton, MI) in a Ottawa-Kent - Blue challenge, on Monday, October 2. Fruitport will attempt to better on its 13-3 season record. The Hawkeyes enter the challenge with a 4-7 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Kelloggsville (Wyoming, MI).

The Wildcats now have a 8-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ravenna for a Western Michigan challenge on Monday, October 2.
