Wiley Panthers (Wiley, CO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting James Irwin Jaguars (Colorado Springs, CO), 13-0 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 12-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Burlington for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 30. Wiley will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 21-9 league loss to Wray/Yuma (Wray, CO). The Cougars record now stands at 3-13.

With the loss, James Irwin falls to 3-11 on the campaign. The Jaguars host La Junta (La Junta, CO) to clash with the Tigers in a 3A Tri Peaks game on Tuesday, October 3. The Tigers come into the game with a record of 13-9. La Junta won 5-4 in their recent league game against Lamar (Lamar, CO)
