In Thursday's league contest, the New Ulm Cathedral Greyhounds (New Ulm, MN) volleyball squad were winner over the visiting Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Thunderbirds (Winthrop, MN), by a margin of 3-1.

Next up, the Greyhounds face the St. Mary's Knights (Sleepy Eye, MN) in a Tomahawk contest, on Tuesday, October 3. New Ulm Cathedral will attempt to better on its 6-8 season record.

With the loss, Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop moves to 6-7 on the year. The Thunderbirds travel to Nicollet (Nicollet, MN) to face the Raiders in a non-league contest on Monday, October 2. The Raiders go into the contest with a record of 1-10.
