In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Mount Vernon Mustangs volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Miller Grove Wolverines.
The Mustangs (20-20) will now prepare for their battle against North Springs (Atlanta, GA). The Spartans come into the non-league battle with a 1-12 record. In their last battle, North Springs went down by Greater Atlanta Christian (Norcross, GA), 2-0, in a league battle.
Next, the Wolverines encounter the Morrow Mustangs (Morrow, GA) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, October 3. Miller Grove will attempt to move on its 10-15 season record. The Mustangs come into the battle with a 23-4 record after their 2-0 league loss to Jonesboro (Jonesboro, GA).
