The crowd at Saturday's league contest between the Mepham Pirates (North Bellmore, NY) and the visiting Calhoun Colts (Merrick, NY), witnessed Mepham's football squad knock off Calhoun by a tally of 31-0.
The Pirates (3-0) will now prepare for their contest against Carey (Franklin Square, NY). The Seahawks enter the Section 8 Conference II contest with a 3-0 record. In their last contest, Carey gained a win over Sewanhaka (Floral Park, NY), 34-7, in a league contest.
Coming up next, the Colts battle the MacArthur Generals (Levittown, NY) in a Section 8 Conference II contest, on Saturday, October 5. Calhoun will attempt to better on its 1-3 season record. The Generals enter the contest with a 3-1 record after their 21-0 league win over Roosevelt (Roosevelt, NY).
