The Franklin Tornadoes got by the visiting Winnisquam Bears football team by a score of 10-7 in Saturday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Tornadoes face the Newfound Regional Bears (Bristol, NH) in a Division IV challenge, on Saturday, October 5. Franklin will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record. The Bears go into the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 30-6 league loss to Farmington/Nute (Farmington, NH).
The Bears (0-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Mascoma (Canaan, NH). The Royals go into the Division IV challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Mascoma nipped Hillsboro-Deering/Hopkinton (Hillsboro, NH), 48-14, in a league challenge.
