The Hawaii Prep Ka Makani felled the host Kohala Cowboys football team by a score of 42-14 in Saturday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Ka Makani face the Kamehameha Hawai'i Warriors (Kea'au, HI) in a Big Island II challenge, on Saturday, October 5. Hawaii Prep will attempt to improve on its 4-1 season record. The Warriors go into the challenge with a 7-1 record after their 30-7 league win over Honoka'a (Honoka'a, HI).

The Cowboys (1-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Ka'u (Pahala, HI). The Trojans go into the Big Island II challenge with a 1-4 record. In their last challenge, Ka'u lost by Pahoa (Pahoa, HI), 28-16, in a league challenge.
