The crowd at Saturday's league contest between the Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM) and the visiting Valley Vikings (Albuquerque, NM), witnessed Highland's football squad edge Valley by a tally of 26-20.

The Hornets (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Miyamura (Gallup, NM). The Patriots enter the 5A District 1 contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Miyamura got by Belen (Belen, NM), 35-21, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Vikings confront the Capital Jaguars (Santa Fe, NM) in a 5A District 1 contest, on Friday, October 4. Valley will attempt to better on its 1-5 season record. The Jaguars enter the contest with a 2-4 record after their 48-6 league win over Rio Grande (Albuquerque, NM).
