The Nueces Canyon Panthers felled the host Knippa Crushers football team by a score of 46-27 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Panthers play the Veribest Falcons (Veribest, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, October 4. Nueces Canyon will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 4-1 record after their 68-22 non-league win over Medina (Medina, TX).

The Crushers now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Heritage Christian for a non-league bout on Friday, October 4. Knippa will encounter a Eagles team coming off a 56-0 non-league win over Bracken Christian (Bulverde, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 5-0.
