The Newcastle Dogies were victorious over the visiting Tongue River Eagles football team by a score of 34-12 in Saturday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Dogies face the Glenrock Herders (Glenrock, WY) in a 2A East challenge, on Friday, October 4. Newcastle will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Herders enter the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 25-0 non-league win over South (Cheyenne, WY).
The Eagles (1-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Upton/Sundance (Upton, WY). The Bobcats enter the 2A East challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Upton/Sundance ran past Moorcroft (Moorcroft, WY), 13-0, in a league challenge.
