In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Northgate Broncos volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Carondelet Cougars.

The Broncos (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Las Lomas (Walnut Creek, CA). The Knights come into the challenge with a 0-4 record. In their last challenge, Las Lomas was nudged by Granada (Livermore, CA), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Cougars play the Granada Matadors (Livermore, CA) in a challenge, on Tuesday, October 1. Carondelet will attempt to upgrade on its 8-11 season record. The Matadors come into the challenge with a 18-1 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Freedom (Oakley, CA).
