Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Wilcox Chargers (Santa Clara, CA) and the visiting Leland Chargers (San Jose, CA), observed Wilcox's volleyball team hold off Leland by a tally of 2-1.

The Chargers (1-8) will now prepare for their contest against Menlo-Atherton (Atherton, CA). The Bears enter the non-league contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, Menlo-Atherton got by Mills (Millbrae, CA), 2-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Chargers meet the Pioneer Mustangs (San Jose, CA) in a contest, on Monday, September 30. Leland will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Mustangs enter the contest with a 0-7 record after their 2-0 league loss to Ann Sobrato (Morgan Hill, CA).
