The crowd at Saturday's non-league contest between the Alameda Hornets (Alameda, CA) and the host Menlo-Atherton Bears (Atherton, CA), witnessed Alameda's flag football squad knock off Menlo-Atherton by a tally of 30-18.

The Hornets (10-3) will now prepare for their contest against San Leandro (San Leandro, CA). The Pirates enter the contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, San Leandro was outscored by Berkeley (Berkeley, CA), 24-18, in a non-league contest.
