The Hatch Valley Bears soccer squad scored 4 points and held the host Chaparral Lobos to 0 in the Bears non-league victory on Saturday.
The Bears now hold a 2-10 record. They play next when they travel to Santa Teresa for a non-league bout on Tuesday, October 1. Hatch Valley will play a Desert Warriors squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Goddard (Roswell, NM). The Desert Warriors record now stands at 7-3.
With the loss, Chaparral moves to 0-11 on the year. The Lobos travel to Deming (Deming, NM) to play the Wildcats in a 4A District 3 bout on Monday, October 7. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 4-10. Deming lost 11-0 in their recent non-league bout against Gadsden (Anthony, NM)
