In Saturday's non-league outing, the host Mahtomedi Zephyrs soccer squad scored a tight 3-1 victory over the Mounds View Mustangs.
The Zephyrs (12-1) will now prepare for their outing against Two Rivers (Mendota Heights, MN). The Warriors go into the non-league outing with a 7-5 record. In their last outing, Two Rivers got by Roosevelt (Minneapolis, MN), 1-0, in a non-league outing.
Next up, the Mustangs play the Roseville Raiders (Roseville, MN) in a Class AA Section 5 outing, on Tuesday, October 1. Mounds View will attempt to improve on its 7-5 season record.
