Fans at Saturday's league battle between the Woonsocket Villa Novans (Woonsocket, RI) and the host Block Island (New Shoreham, RI), saw Woonsocket's soccer squad prevail over Block Island by a count of 4-0.

The Villa Novans (5-3) will now prepare for their battle against Scituate (North Scituate, RI). The Spartans enter the Division 3 battle with a 10-0 record. In their last battle, Scituate tipped Chariho (Wood River Junction, RI), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the battle the Exeter-West Greenwich Scarlet Knights (West Greenwich, RI) in a Division 3 battle, on Monday, September 30. Block Island will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record.
