Illinois High School Soccer - Moline nudges Downers Grove North

In Saturday's non-league outing, the host Moline Maroons soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Downers Grove North Trojans.
The Maroons (11-1) will now prepare for their outing against Alleman (Rock Island, IL). The Pioneers go into the Western Big 6 outing with a 7-5 record. In their last outing, Alleman Sterling (Sterling, IL), 2-2, in a league outing.
Next up, the Trojans confront the Glenbard West Hilltoppers (Glen Ellyn, IL) in a West Suburban - Silver outing, on Tuesday, October 1. Downers Grove North will attempt to improve on its 3-10 season record. The Hilltoppers go into the outing with a 9-5 record after their 0-0 non-league Glenbard South (Glen Ellyn, IL).
