Wellsboro Hornets (Wellsboro, PA) boosters exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Towanda Black Knights (Towanda, PA), 8-0 in a league test.

With the triumph, Wellsboro moves its record to 11-2 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Galeton (Galeton, PA) to clash with the Tigers in a North Tier test on Wednesday, October 2. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 5-8. Galeton won 6-1 in their recent non-league test against Northern Potter (Ulysses, PA)

The Black Knights now sport a 5-6 record. They take the field next when they host Meadowbrook Christian for a non-league test on Monday, September 30. Towanda will clash with a team coming off a 0-0 league Juniata Christian (McAlisterville, PA). The record now stands at 3-4.
