The South Sioux City Cardinals overwhelmed the visiting Burke Bulldogs softball squad by a count of 7-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Cardinals meet the O'Neill Eagles (O'Neill, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, October 1. South Sioux City will attempt to upgrade on its 4-22 season record. The Eagles go into the challenge with a 11-10 record after their 7-0 non-league loss to Guardian Angels Central Catholic (West Point, NE).
The Bulldogs (0-16) will now prepare for their challenge against Benson (Omaha, NE). The Bunnies go into the A District challenge with a 2-12 record. In their last challenge, Benson held off Lincoln High (Lincoln, NE), 16-5, in a non-league challenge.
