In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Almont Raiders volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Marlette Red Raiders.

The Raiders (5-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Yale (Yale, MI). The Bulldogs come into the Blue Water Area challenge with a 7-11 record. In their last challenge, Yale edged Utica (Utica, MI), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Red Raiders play the North Huron Warriors (Kinde, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, October 1. Marlette will attempt to upgrade on its 6-13 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 5-6 record after their 3-0 league loss to Kingston (Kingston, MI).
