Ohio High School Volleyball - Avon Lake tips Independence

The Avon Lake Shoremen (Avon Lake, OH) volleyball held off the visiting Independence Blue Devils (Independence, OH), 2-1 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Shoremen now possess a 12-4 record. They play next when they host Austintown-Fitch for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 28. Avon Lake will clash with a Falcons team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Crestview (Columbiana, OH). The Falcons record now stands at 10-2.

With the loss, Independence drops to 15-2 on the campaign. The Blue devils travel to Pickerington Central (Pickerington, OH) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 28. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 12-2. Pickerington Central won 3-0 in their recent league game against Canal Winchester (Canal Winchester, OH)
