The Mustangs now possess a 7-17 record. They play next when they travel to Grundy Center for a bout on Tuesday, October 1. East Marshall will clash with a Spartans team coming off a 2-0 league loss to West Delaware (Manchester, IA). The Spartans record now stands at 17-10.

With the loss, Martensdale-St. Mary's drops to 5-17 on the campaign. The Blue devils host Wayne (Corydon, IA) to clash with the Falcons in a non-league bout on Tuesday, October 1.
