In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Escanaba Eskymos volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Gwinn Modeltowners.

The Eskymos (8-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Marquette (Marquette, MI). The Redmen come into the Big North challenge with a 5-6 record. In their last challenge, Marquette lost by Escanaba (Escanaba, MI), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Modeltowners play the Kingsford Flivvers (Kingsford, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 28. Gwinn will attempt to upgrade on its 1-13 season record. The Flivvers come into the challenge with a 12-3 record after their 3-0 league win over Gladstone (Gladstone, MI).
