Virginia High School Volleyball - Grassfield can't hold off First Colonial

In Saturday's non-league match, the First Colonial Patriots (Virginia Beach, VA) volleyball squad tipped the visiting Grassfield Grizzlies (Chesapeake, VA), by a count of 3-2.

Next up, the Patriots battle the Landstown Eagles (Virginia Beach, VA) in a Beach match, on Tuesday, October 1. First Colonial will attempt to move on its 12-3 season record. The Eagles enter the match with a 9-5 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Great Bridge (Chesapeake, VA).

The Grizzlies (6-5) will now prepare for their match against King's Fork (Suffolk, VA). The Bulldogs enter the Southeastern match with a 5-7 record. In their last match, King's Fork was nudged by Great Bridge (Chesapeake, VA), 3-0, in a league outing.
