In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Freeman Flyers.
The Titans (12-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Hanson (Alexandria, SD). The Beavers come into the non-league challenge with a 9-3 record. In their last challenge, Hanson beat Irene/Wakonda (Irene, SD), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Flyers meet the Hitchcock-Tulare Patriots (Tulare, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 28. Freeman will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 14-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Iroquois/Lake Preston (Iroquois, SD).
