The Meridian Bobcats volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Galatia Bearcats to 1 in the Bobcats non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Bobcats now possess a 3-7 record. They play next when they travel to Charleston for a non-league outing on Monday, September 30. Meridian will play a Bluejays team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Cooter (Cooter, MO). The Bluejays record now stands at 0-12.

With the loss, Galatia drops to 3-18 on the campaign. The Bearcats host Pope County (Golconda, IL) to play the Pirates in a Greater Egyptian outing on Monday, September 30. The Pirates come into the outing with a record of 2-10. Pope County lost 2-0 in their recent non-league outing against Webber (Bluford, IL)
