With the win, Vernon Hills improves its record to 15-8 on the season. The Cougars travel to South Beloit (South Beloit, IL) to face the Sobos in a non-league test on Saturday, September 28. The Sobos go into the test with a record of 8-8. South Beloit won 2-0 in their recent league test against Mooseheart (Mooseheart, IL)

The J-Hawks now own a 5-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Freeport for a Northern Illinois NIC-10 test on Tuesday, October 1.
