In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Vinton-Shellsburg Vikings volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Tripoli Panthers.

The Vikings (7-21) will now prepare for their challenge against South Tama County (Tama, IA). The Trojans come into the non-league challenge with a 9-15 record. In their last challenge, South Tama County was beaten by Mid-Prairie (Wellman, IA), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Panthers meet the Denver Cyclones (Denver, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 28. Tripoli will attempt to upgrade on its 7-11 season record. The Cyclones come into the challenge with a 25-1 record after their 3-0 league win over Columbus (Waterloo, IA).
