In Thursday's league game, the Cotopaxi Pirates (Cotopaxi, CO) football team knocked off the visiting La Veta Redhawks (La Veta, CO), by a final score of 72-44.

The Pirates (5-1) will now prepare for their game against Primero (Weston, CO). The Bulldogs come into the A-6 League 5 (6 Man) game with a 1-4 record. In their last game, Primero was dropped by Branson/Kim (Branson, CO), 70-26, in a league game.
