North Carolina High School Football - East Gaston topples Thomas Jefferson

The East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC) football defeated the host Thomas Jefferson Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC), 28-16 in Thursday's league bout.

In their next game, the Warriors face the Bessemer City Yellow Jackets (Bessemer City, NC) in a 1A/2A West Conference 40 bout, on Friday, October 7. East Gaston will attempt to advance on its 4-2 season record. The Yellow Jackets enter the bout with a 2-5 record after their 62-6 league loss to Burns (Lawndale, NC).

The Gryphons (0-6) will now prepare for their bout against Burns (Lawndale, NC). The Bulldogs enter the 1A/2A West Conference 40 bout with a 5-1 record. In their last bout, Burns defeated Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC), 62-6, in a league bout.
