In Thursday's league game, the Patrick County Cougars (Stuart, VA) football team were victorious over the visiting Tunstall Trojans (Dry Fork, VA), by a score of 51-35.

The Cougars (2-3) will now prepare for their game against Bassett (Bassett, VA). The Bengals come into the Piedmont game with a 3-2 record. In their last game, Bassett knocked off Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA), 41-7, in a league game.

The Trojans now sport a 0-5 record. They take the field next when they host George Washington for a Piedmont game on Friday, October 7. Tunstall will meet a Eagles team coming off a 14-0 league loss to Martinsville (Martinsville, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 0-4.
