The Penobscot Valley Howlers held off the host Central Red Devils soccer squad by a margin of 1-0 in Thursday's non-league contest.

Next, the Howlers face the Penquis Valley Patriots (Milo, ME) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, October 1. Penobscot Valley will attempt to better on its 7-1 season record. The Patriots enter the contest with a 3-4 record after their 4-3 league loss to Mattanawcook (Lincoln, ME).
