Haddam-Killingworth Cougars (Higganum, CT) fans were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Wilbur Cross Governors (New Haven, CT), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Cougars confront the Westbrook Knights (Westbrook, CT) in a Shoreline challenge, on Friday, September 30. Haddam-Killingworth will attempt to better on its 4-2 season record.

The Governors now have a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they host Lauralton Hall for a Southern Connecticut - Housatonic challenge on Monday, October 3. Wilbur Cross will confront a Crusaders team coming off a 2-0 league win over Shelton (Shelton, CT). The Crusaders record now stands at 3-3.
