The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the South Adams Starfires (Berne, IN) and the visiting Adams Central Flying Jets (Monroe, IN), saw South Adams's volleyball squad nip Adams Central by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, South Adams upgrades its record to 1-1 on the year. The Starfires host New Haven (New Haven, IN) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Monday, October 3. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 2-4. New Haven lost 2-0 in their recent league bout against Norwell (Ossian, IN)

The Flying Jets now own a 10-7 record. They play next when they travel to Heritage for a bout on Tuesday, October 4. Adams Central will play a Patriots squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Woodlan (Woodburn, IN). The Patriots record now stands at 1-3.
