The Aztec Tigers volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the host Grants Pirates to 1 in the Tigers non-league victory on Thursday.
The Tigers now have a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bloomfield for a non-league game on Tuesday, October 4. Aztec will confront a Bobcats team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Belen (Belen, NM). The Bobcats record now stands at 4-3.
The Pirates (7-3) will now prepare for their game against Valencia (Los Lunas, NM). The Jaguars enter the non-league game with a 9-1 record. In their last game, Valencia held off Sandia Prep (Albuquerque, NM), 2-0, in a non-league game.
