The Knights (19-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Marquette (Ottawa, IL). The Crusaders enter the non-league challenge with a 18-4 record. In their last challenge, Marquette defeated Serena (Serena, IL), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Chiefs meet the Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts (Chillicothe, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 1. Deer Creek-Mackinaw will attempt to move on its 6-11 season record. The Grey Ghosts enter the challenge with a 15-1 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Peoria (Peoria, IL).
