    The Altus Bulldogs football team (Altus, OK), was beaten 31-7 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting MacArthur Highlanders (Lawton, OK)

    The Highlanders (5-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Ardmore (Ardmore, OK). The Tigers come into the 5A District 1 challenge with a 0-5 record. In their last challenge, Ardmore was beaten by Elgin (Elgin, OK), 42-7, in a league challenge.

    The Bulldogs now sport a 0-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Elgin for a 5A District 1 challenge on Friday, October 6. Altus will meet a Owls team coming off a 42-7 league win over Ardmore (Ardmore, OK). The Owls record now stands at 5-0.
