In Friday's league game, the Ames Little Cyclones (Ames, IA) football team smashed the visiting Ottumwa Bulldogs (Ottumwa, IA), by a score of 62-23.
The Little Cyclones (2-4) will now prepare for their game against Marshalltown (Marshalltown, IA). The Bobcats come into the 5A Group 4 game with a 1-5 record. In their last game, Marshalltown was ripped by Waterloo West (Waterloo, IA), 31-3, in a league game.
The Bulldogs now sport a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Northwest for a 5A Group 4 game on Friday, October 6. Ottumwa will meet a Wolves team coming off a 31-28 league win over Valley (West Des Moines, IA). The Wolves record now stands at 4-2.
