Illinois High School Football - Cumberland beat Arcola

The Cumberland Pirates football squad scored 25 points and restricted the visiting Arcola Purple Riders to 14 in the Pirates league victory on Friday.

The Pirates now possess a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] for a Lincoln Prairie battle on Saturday, October 7. Cumberland will play a Titans squad coming off a 47-24 league loss to Argenta-Oreana (Argenta, IL). The Titans record now stands at 0-6.

Coming up next, the Purple Riders play the Sangamon Valley/Tri-City Storm (Niantic, IL) in a Lincoln Prairie battle, on Friday, October 6. Arcola will attempt to advance on its 2-4 season record. The Storm enter the battle with a 2-4 record after their 27-0 league loss to Sullivan-Okaw Valley/Bethany (Sullivan, IL).
