The Blazer Tomcats football squad scored 48 points and restricted the visiting Rowan County Vikings to 0 in the Tomcats league victory on Friday.

The Tomcats now possess a 7-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Boyd County for a 4A District 6 battle on Friday, October 6. Blazer will face a Lions squad coming off a 48-14 league win over Greenup County (Greenup, KY). The Lions record now stands at 3-3.

Coming up next, the Vikings face the Johnson Central Golden Eagles (Paintsville, KY) in a 4A District 6 battle, on Thursday, October 5. Rowan County will attempt to advance on its 1-5 season record. The Golden Eagles enter the battle with a 4-3 record after their 34-6 non-league loss to Corbin (Corbin, KY).
