Texas High School Football - Mount Vernon trounces Bonham

September 29, 2023: Bonham, TX 75418

In Friday's league match, the visiting Mount Vernon Tigers football squad scored a big 59-22 triumph over the Bonham Warriors.

The Tigers (4-2) will now prepare for their game against Winnsboro (Winnsboro, TX). The Raiders come into the 3A-1 Region II District 5 game with a 5-0 record. In their last game, Winnsboro overwhelmed Commerce (Commerce, TX), 55-7, in a league game.

The Warriors now hold a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pottsboro for a 3A-1 Region II District 5 game on Friday, October 6. Bonham will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 55-40 league win over Mineola (Mineola, TX). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-0.
