In Friday's non-league game, the Brandon Valley Lynx (Brandon, SD) football team were victorious over the host Riggs Governors (Pierre, SD), by a score of 35-14.
The Lynx (4-2) will now prepare for their game against Lincoln (Sioux Falls, SD). The Patriots come into the Eastern South Dakota - AAA game with a 6-0 record. In their last game, Lincoln knocked off Stevens (Rapid City, SD), 65-6, in a league game.
The Governors now sport a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host Huron for a Eastern South Dakota - AA game on Friday, October 6. Riggs will battle a Tigers team coming off a 48-7 non-league win over Douglas (Box Elder, SD). The Tigers record now stands at 3-3.
